90 Days!!

Spring is coming sooner than you expect, don't hesitate and shorten the coming season waiting for a purchase to close escrow.
Normal early spring is in mid April and preparing your property for your personal use can begin earlier than you can imagine.

Be sure to bring your hiking and fishing stuff, snow drifts, fish, and plenty of mud.

The larger piece is bordered by Miles and Miles of BLM and National Forest.

I know of no fences to the South and West.

Suggestion from Dad................

Just remember there is only so much land, ONLY SO MUCH !!!!!

Winter Wonderland

With the new neighbors, everything is still available to YOU!!

Winter in the canyon is always quietly white.

Access during the winter months is with 4 wheel drive and chains to the driveway.
From the driveway into the property may certainly require additional equipment. Elevation is approximately 7,100'.

There are two properties still available in this secluded area, they may not be available long.

FISHING !!!!

Following the high mountains fire and storms a few years ago, the reservoir fish population has rebounded well. The Department of  Wildlife stocked Tiger trout and the residual spawning Rainbows are thriving.

My family and I fished solid last week, every morning for 3 hours amid the rest of their mountain experience.

Amazingly, all the trout are exceptionally heavy for this early in the season. They survived ice-over perfectly.

The Tigers are a sterile addition to the fishery and have serious teeth for a trout. They eat both anything and constantly.

Heavy snow pack put the lake over the spillway for two months this year.  Very good conditions for the spring Rainbow spawn.

Hard Water

Spring is coming as it does every year.

No amount of wishing will bring ice-off any sooner. The 14.5 foot Lonestar is waiting with me for longer, warmer days.

The Tiger trout did very well last year and I expect them to be larger and more aggressive than ever.

SOON NOW !!!

The cabin is still for sale and will be on the market as soon as access is easier.

Fishing Cabin For Sale "A New Breed"

Search  ZILLOW  ZIP 84760

Following the fire/flood ash damage to the reservoir last summer, almost all of the Rainbow Trout in the lake were killed. A few of the spawners survived but not many. A self spawning lake such as this would recover but it would take years.
The Utah Fish and Game stocked 13,000 7" Tiger Trout fingerlings in the cleaner lake in November prior to ice over.

The Tigers are an aggressive species that are known for nicely fighting anglers (an excellent game fish).

The fish have done very well from 7" to 13" in seven months.

Being a sterile breed, they will grow while the Rainbows move to recovery.
Click on the picture to see them as we wish they were!!

I fished the lake in mid July, fishing was excellent and the Tigers have adapted well and are surface feeding constantly.

The meat is very pink when skinned and has a very mild flavor.

It doesn't get any better than this!
